Lesson Plans WEEK 1

Week One April 6-10

Monday: Look through the packet and compare it with the checklist.  If you are missing anything or have any questions, please let me know.  Make sure you are on my Remind!

Tuesday: Fill out your Plan and Reflection for the day. 

Reading: Book walk through How to Dress for the Rain, then read story.  Practice sight words on yellow cards. Read for 30 minutes.

Writing: Write 1-2 good sentences for the prompt: What is your favorite vegetable? in April Journal.

Math: Hop Before and After (One more, one less) in Math Journal.

Wednesday: Fill out your Plan and Reflection for the day.

Reading: Highlight sight words in book: How to Dress for the Rain, then read the story.  Practice sight words on yellow cards.  Read for 30 minutes.

Writing: Write 1-2 good sentences for the prompt: If you are the Easter Bunny, what would you put in Easter Baskets? in April Journal.

Science: Pick any of the 3 activities on the Sorting Objects page and complete.  (It is 2-sided. You only need to choose 1 activity).

Thursday: Fill out your Plan and Reflection for the day.

Reading: Read How to Dress for the Rain and complete sequencing page.  Practice sight words on yellow cards.  Read for 30 minutes.

Writing: Write 1-2 good sentences to match the picture in your April Journal.

Math: Number the Eggs (Number Order) in Math Journal.

Friday: Fill out your Plan and Reflection for the day.

Reading: Read How to Dress for the Rain and complete prompt: What color raincoat would you wear? and draw a picture to match.  Practice your whole sight word ring.  Read for 30 minutes.

Writing: Write 1-2 good sentences to match the picture in your April Journal.

Math: Sunny Base 10 (Tens and Ones) in Math Journal.

If you do not have books at home that your child can read, please read to your child and use the questions on the Reading Questions handout to help your child with some comprehension skills.  Remember, children love to hear the same book over and over, so don’t worry if you don’t have a new book for them everyday!
